Do Art May 2011

"Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand." Isaiah 64:8

We celebrated Quatro de Mayo at Do Art, enjoying a fiesta themed spread, fellowship & creativity. Already looking forward to our next social venture: Popcorn and a Movie this July!

Sign of a good time: lots of dirty brushes!

Women's Retreat Spring 2011

This March, the Women's Council hosted the Spring Retreat at the beautiful Steinhatchee Landing. A beautiful place to retreat and grow in our faith, the focus of the weekend was Zechariah 9:16:
"They will sparkle in his land like jewels in his crown."

Our Friday night kickoff included a creative outlet...a fabulous fashion show!

Our speaker Cathy O'Neal shared PEARLS of wisdom and focused on how we can shine as daughters of the King through Christ's work in our lives.
Vivian, Cathy & Bobbie:
Our heart sticky notes spoke words of encouragement and affirmation:

Saturday night included games & line dancing...we had so much fun, look out for line dancing at our fall kickoff to highlight upcoming ministry events!
Each cottage shared meals together in an intimate way to build friendships:

Our worship leaders Laura & Melissa:

Looking forward to next year for ways to grow in our faith while kicking up our feet/off our heels (or flip flops as the case may be...)

On December 4th, we held our first Christmas Brunch and we are excited to share that it will be an annual event!

"And the angel said to unto them 'Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.'" Luke 2:10

Joani Tabor shared her music and a message with our group of 200+ women.
There were 30 beautiful tables decorated with a holiday theme by each table's hostess.

2010 Recap- Fall Mini Retreat

Our fall mini-retreat was hosted at Victoria's beautiful home. We gathered together in small groups to hear how God designed us to be His- body, mind, soul, spirit.

The fall themed event featured a a delicious lunch of chicken salad and a fabulous dessert spread that we all enjoyed.

It was a great opportunity to gather together in the body of Christ, meet new people and hear what God has in store for all of our lives!
This year's event is tentatively scheduled for October 8th...the theme will be DWELL. Stay tuned for upcoming details!
